Can’t sleep, still on a sugar high—it was one of my most delicious birthdays ever. So much fun, so much cinnamon, so much autumn goodness and laughter and love.
Thanks to everyone!!
Here are the recipes, or the the basic recipes, we of course modified.
Pork and butternut squash stew—Added wine, cinnamon, chili powder, apple and pork sausages, tomato paste, thyme and carrots. Left out the lima beans.
3 Cups flour
1Tbs sugar
1 tsp salt
1Tbs baking powder
2 Tsp Thyme
12 ounces Guinness
Mix dry ingredients, add beer. Stir until all dry ingredients moist, spread into greased or parchment lined bread pan. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes
Autumn Sangria- Pretty much stuck to this one.
The Salad- Pears sauteed in butter with a couple tsp. cinnamon, add a tablespoon of balsamic before plating. Top with pears, cranberries, goat cheese and pecans. wow.
The cake- Supervalue was tragically out of brie—substituted marscapone, yum yum yum
